From Pahalgam, there's only one option to reach the valley, i.e. to book a private cab. A round trip will generally cost around Rs. 1500, depending on your chosen vehicle. It is still a lot, but sadly, there are no other options.

The Betaab Valley opens for visiting around 8 pm and closes after sunset. However, there's a forest that you have to cross on your way back to Pahalgam. Hence, we recommend returning before sunset because it gets darker, making the route unsafe.

Entry to the Betaab Valley also requires an entrance fee of Rs. 100, which isn't what you'll have to pay for parking. There is an additional parking charge, generally around Rs. 30 for two-wheelers and Rs. 50 for a four-wheeler.

If you're visiting in the winter, you can try several snow activities, including skiing and sledging. Camping is another thing we recommend, especially to the tourists planning a trip in spring or summer.

Set about 19 kilometres away, this valley offers various exciting recreational activities, such as horseback riding and fishing in the Lidder River. The Tulian Lake is another tourist spot one must visit near the Betaab Valley. Conveniently located at a distance of 8.2 kilometres, the lake serves as an ideal spot for photography and setting a camp beside it.
